I also found a pretty decorative wooden piece. I’m not sure what it was originally from, but it seemed perfect to add to the wood frame, so I used some E-6000 to connect it, then I painted it all white and distressed it.
There were holes in the frame, where it had previously been connected to the rest of the drawer framework, so I glued some vintage buttons to cover them.
I love how it turned out!
One of my regular customers put it on reserve right away, but another customer wanted one. I didn’t have another piece of sewing machine salvage, so I used some antique wood to create a different style sign with the same message on it for her.
