This week’s theme for Farmhouse Friday is Ladders, because as you’ll discover, they aren’t just for reaching high places anymore!
Ladders work well in many styles of decor, but because of the rustic nature of vintage ladders, they are especially well-suited to farmhouse style decorating.
But first, a quick video about Chalk Couture DIY adhesive stencils.
I have 3 old ladders that I use in several rooms in my house. I have this half ladder shelf in my shed-turned-guestroom. It just leans up against the wall and makes a place to display my favorite spools of yarn and thread.

Such a great post…I love all of these ideas…every single one! What I love about ladders is that they allow you to take advantage of vertical space…and when you live in a little house like I do, any space comes at a premium. Can’t wait to put some of these ideas to use! A birdhouse ladder…who wouldda thunk it? 🙂
I am particularly fond of the idea of decorating old ladders in the yard and exterior areas. The bird houses were so clever!

I love ladders. I have an entire Pinterest board filled with them! Plus I have a few around to use and decorate as well as plans to build more.
