With 2016 on the horizon, I stared thinking about what kind of projects I’d like to work on next year, but it occurred to me that I should ask YOU what kind of projects you would like to see.
First, I’ll show you today’s project, then I have a brief survey at the end that will only take a moment for you to answer. Thanks in advance!

Poster Size Christmas Chalkboard Printable
If you don’t have a budget for original paintings or art, poster size engineering prints are such an inexpensive way to add larger scale “art”, even on the smallest of budgets.
One of my favorite Christmas songs is, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”, so I created a chalkboard printable with the lyrics from the song, in a pretty script font.
My husband creates the frames for me out of pallet wood, so there’s no expense, and he can make them whatever size I need.

I have this one hanging in my entryway, and I mounted it to the back of the frame the same way as I did the Silent Night print in my living room, so I can switch out the artwork in both of them easily.
I left a wide black margin around the words, so you can print it whatever size you want, without any of the words getting cropped off.
I recommend going to a print shop, like Staples, and they can print most sizes for you. The print I had made is an 18″x 24″ poster size engineering print, for under $4.

When you open the image, it looks sideways, but prints correctly as a poster size image.

Your blog, Angie, is one of my favorites with your down to earth conversation style writing and your great doable ideas. I enjoy the repurposed items especially and DIY projects. I don’t have a saw or even a sewing machine so I pick and choose projects based on my own skills and abilities. I loved the old dictionary alphabet banner free printables – I made HOME and LOVE and they look adorable. That’s how I originally found your blog – on a hunt for letters to make a banner. I just make my banners out of excess craft materials and it completely freshens up any room in the house. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I can totally relate with you in your quest for One Good Family Photograph Darnit! Those posts of your Christmas photos are always hilarious. I feel your pain.
