One of my favorite things about sunset is that the sky often looks like watercolor art. Sometimes it’s washed shades of blue, purple and pink, and other evenings it’s white, orange and yellow, depending on the season and weather.
I love watercolor art, but I’m think the last time I tried to make some was when I was in kindergarten.
Someday I really would like to learn, but until then I have the next best thing – watercolor art that not only is printable, but you can customize it with any words you want, using free printables of 9 variations of watercolor backgrounds. There are hundreds of ways to use these printable backgrounds, and you don’t need to break out your paints to use them! 🙂
I wanted some new art for my She Shed, so I created 2 different watercolor art prints with the words, “hello” and “welcome” on them, then just printed them out and put them in a frame.
Watercolor Art Printables
There are 7 color variations of “Hello” and 7 variations of the “Welcome”watercolor art.
You can download and print any or all of them HERE.
If you’d prefer to use another word, or just print the watercolor pages, here are all 9 of the color variations.
Watercolor Art Texture Backgrounds
You can download and print all of them HERE.
You can print them exactly the size you need them by going to Picmonkey, and selecting the size you want under the “Design” tab at the top.
Next, click on the overlays tab on the left side (it’s the butterfly), and select whichever of the watercolor art prints or backgrounds you want to use. You’ll need to stretch the image to fill in the entire area.
Click on the text tab (Tt) on the left side to customize your own words to add to the backgrounds.
You can also select what color you want the text to be, then save it to your computer or flash drive. I printed mine at home on my laser printer, because toner ink is more vivid than inkjet, but you can also take your flash drive to a print shop and have them printed very inexpensively for you.
I hope that any guests that come to visit us and use this room will feel very welcome with this watercolor art!
If you use the watercolor to create your own projects, I’d love to hear about it and feel free to PIN the image below! 🙂
Love your newsletters Angie! Keep the ideas coming.
