The end of the year is a time of reflection, and while digging through the mountain of junk in my workshop earlier this week, I started reflecting on some of my favorite farmhouse projects that I’ve made out of castoffs that others call junk.

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but I’ve broken it down into projects made with three types of junk that I love to work with.

  6. I love these ideas! I have got to go see your Etsy projects now. Thanks for sharing the DIY farmhouse decor ideas at the #HomeMattersParty this week. Pinned!

  7. So creative! These items remind me of visiting family members on a couple of farms many years ago (as a child). People on farms used whatever they had on hand — like an old pan or an old bucket. They didn’t have the option of running out to Home Goods or World Market to buy things for their kitchens or their homes. It makes me think of the adage: “necessity is the mother of invention.” Thanks for sharing.

  8. You are so creative!! I love the repurposed windows. I am also going to make sure I find some enamelware bowls so I can recreate the stand. Love it!
