I’ve recently had several new requests for photos for magazine features. I’ll let you know if or when they end up in print, but it made me think back to my past features.
That giddy feeling never goes away every time I see my home or projects in print.
If you are new here, I hope you’ll enjoy seeing those features, and if you’ve been around awhile, I hope you won’t mind taking a walk down memory lane with me.
My very first magazine feature was for Cottages and Bungalows magazine.
That feature almost never happened, because the email from the editor ended up in my junk email box. One day I randomly decided to clean out my junk folder, and as soon as I saw the words “Cottages and Bungalows magazine feature,” my heart nearly stopped. You can read about that feature HERE.

That feature led to a second feature in another Cottages and Bungalows magazine a month later, which I was even more excited about.
It was the first feature about our newly remodeled farmhouse kitchen. I had to retake all of my photos for that feature, because I no longer had the high resolution images they needed without my watermark on them. I stressed out for two weeks about getting good photos for them. Read about that feature HERE.

The order of features gets random after this point, because I can’t remember when they occurred.
American Farmhouse Style magazine included my DIY Tin Can and Pallet Wood Organizers in a roundup on tin can crafts. You can read about that feature HERE.
A few years later, my guest room was in another American Farmhouse Style magazine.

I am going to go back and read every one! How great to be published so many times. I am just getting into this DIY stuff although I have been a crafter for years. I love everyone’s ideas even if it is not something that is my style; I can still make it to sell! You are teaching me to think outside the box and that imagination is vital when I am yard saling or thrifting! Thank you.

I just recently found your blog. I absolutely love it! So many creative ideas. I have collected chairs for years and became so excited, when I saw the post about chairs. I too have a thing about chairs. My husband claims I have 52 of them in his barn and he will be excited to see that now i might actually do something with them. Thanks for the wonderful ideas.
