Magazine Features in Country Sampler Farmhouse Style and Homespun

Some time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I had the pleasure of being featured in two magazines.  Normally I’d share that with you right away while the issues can still be found on the newstands, but I was going to therapy three days a week until Christmas and trying to finish my shopping.  So those features were forgotten about until my mom discovered the magazines in the bathroom!

The good news is that one of the issues is a special edition of Country Sampler magazine called “Farmhouse Style,” and it’s available for a few months more.  I’m not sure which stores carry it, but it’s worth keeping your eye out for.

They asked for a variety of projects for the DIY section, including the antique flour bin I turned into a table for my porch, my repurposed dresser bathroom sink, and the farm tools that I turned into wall hooks.

I always look forward to seeing if there are other bloggers I recognize in the magazines that feature some of my  projects, and I wasn’t disappointed.  I spotted features from Marian @ Miss Mustard Seed, Deb @ Seeking Lavender Lane, Yvonne from Stone Gable, and  Megan @ Farmhouse 5540  has a multi-page feature, plus many others.

The other magazine was called Homespun, but it was the December issue so it isn’t available now.

Unless you live in Australia, you couldn’t have found it anyway.  It was just a one-page feature of my Denim Overalls Wall Pocket.  However, it is available digitally HERE.

It’s always fun and exciting to see my projects in a magazine!

  15. Your style so often reminds me of visiting our friend’s farm down near Peoria. Congratulations on the features, and here’s to many more!

  16. Congrats Angie! I was curious if the Country Sampler magazine was available online so I googled it. It’s $9.99 for either a digital copy or a print copy, the print one is $3.99 for shipping for a total of $13.99. I’m going to look in the store where I usually find Country Sampler but it’s nice to have another option if I can’t find it.

  17. Congratulations on your features in the two magazines. well deserved. my prayers go out to you and your recovering. take care of you..

  18. How are you doing now? Hope therapy helped. When Mr.Furry had his stroke in 10/2010 the V/A didn’t offer him any therapy. He has less strength mostly in his left arm.. As critical as his stroke was he’s very lucky he’s come thru it as well as he did. Since am around him pretty much 24/7 I see things that have affected him mentally as he has spots on either side of his brain which are gone. I need to learn more patience and let alot go as he gets moody and angry. Other than that he’s really healthy.
I got the Country Sampler Magazine just the other day, have consumed it and will go back again. Saw your feature and other bloggers also. Every time I get a magazine anymore there are bloggers in them I subscribe to.
Hope you are doing really well and are recovering as you need to.
    Happy weekend
