Crank Up the Radio

So, yesterday I told you that I really wasn’t thinking when I bid and won this antique radio at an auction.
I didn’t have any great reason for buying it – it was cheap and kinda cool is all I can think of.
Well, sometimes…it pays to check your brains at the auction door!
Here he is today.

His insides (record player and radio box) have been removed.  I sanded him down all over,
repainted with Valspar Churchill Hotel Wheat, distressed it, then used Valspar Antique Glaze.

I think he’ll make a great accent or foyer table.   Let’s hear it for the Oldies!
Total Cost – $11
$2 for the Radio and $9 for the Antique Glaze.  I already had the paint!
Blessings,

Angie

  8. You got that cool old radio for $2?? Wow! I love this transformation so much–I used to work at a radio station as a DJ, and one of my bosses had his office decorated with a collection of old radios that he placed by the decade made–it was really a neat display!
