Just (In) Time

Isn’t it funny how sometimes the “innards”of an object are every bit aslovely as the outer appearance? I LOVE seeing the gears insideold watches, so I decidedto make a necklace from one part.I added a few tiny antique buttonsfor a little vintage “bling”. I gathered up more of the parts and added them to my antique receipt file that I use as a magnetic clip board. It’s what’s inside that counts, too – right? A Tisket, a Tasket, a Old Look for a Basket

Generally, I prefer authentically aged goods to items that are made to look old, but occasionally I find something that looks close to authentic, so I bring it home.When I found this metal basket for 50 cents at a thrift store, it reminded me of an old egg basket, but it is coated with rubber and that rubber was shiny gray. I gave it a quick coat of matte black spray paint, then scratched it up just a little with {Read More}
