Milk and Cream Co. Sign

I’m usually pretty happy if a project turns out close to what I’ve envisioned in my mind, but every once in awhile, a project turns out even better than I’d hoped. This is one of those rare projects. I was inspired by a Milk and Cream Co. image that I found on Pinterest.  I never could find determine who the original source of the image was, but I love the font and simple wording, and based on the concept, I made this {Read More}

Sonday – {Amazing Grace}

The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures My chains are gone I’ve been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy rains Unending love, Amazing grace The earth shall soon dissolve like snow The sun forbear to shine But God, Who called me here below Will be forever mine Will be forever mine You are forever {Read More}

Dirty Laundry

It’s not often that I like to air my dirty laundry with you all, but for the sake of honesty, I’m going to.  Not only am I going to talk about this incredibly ugly laundry hamper, but it gets worse.I spotted this ugly thing in my workshop and realized I should either do something with it, or donate it, and since we’re remodeling the laundry room, I thought maybe I could make it look better and actually use it, rather {Read More}

Behind the Farmhouse Kitchen Pantry Door

What’s behind my pantry door?  Until recently… nothing. Well, nothing but a wall. You may recall that when we remodeled our kitchen last year, I had a pantry door, but no pantry behind it.  In fact, the door wasn’t even attached to the hinges when I showed my kitchen reveal – it was just resting there.  The bathroom/laundry room on the other side of the wall had yet to be remodeled, and there was a shower stall where the pantry {Read More}

Thursday’s Theme – {Sew Much for That}

I am really making progress working through all the accumulated “stuff” (a.k.a – junk), in my workshop.  Unless I really dislike something, and don’t have an ounce of inspiration to put into it, my goal is to fix up or recreate with everything in that room.  You can actually walk through the room without risking life and limb now, but there is still a lot left to work on. I decided to work on a few old sewing machine cases {Read More}

1920’s Bird Eggs Printables for Framing, Cards, Scrapbooking, and more

Last week I shared my little collection of nests and eggs with you.  Today, I hope you enjoy some beautiful antique book print bird eggs printables, from a 1920’s book called, The Birds of the British Isles and their Eggs. {Click on each image to get the printable WITHOUT the watermark}. Up in the Rafters

You just never know what you’ll find when you buy an old house.  Sometimes, it’s really nasty stuff; sometimes it’s something really wonderful.  We’ve been fortunate to find many interesting and useful things in this old house we bought.  My husband was taking things down from the rafters in our garage and found a bunch of these beautiful wood pieces, with ruler markeings and lots of pin hooks on them.  I’m not positive, but I think they are parts of {Read More}
