Prayer of Thanksgiving – Hymn Book Page

Those of you with grown kids know how difficult it can be to get everyone together for the holidays, but it’s a first for me as a parent.
One of my sons couldn’t get off work during his college Thanksgiving break, so my husband and I are going out to eat with my other 3 kids on Wednesday, then I’ll hit the road with the kids and we’ll spend Thanksgiving with my oldest son.  My husband has to work the day after Thanksgiving, so he won’t be with us.  I won’t be doing any cooking at all.  I’ll miss the leftovers, but I won’t miss the cooking and cleaning up part at all.
I hope whether you’re with all your family or separated by the miles, and whether you are cooking or going out to eat, your Thanksgiving will be a blessed day…full of THANKS!
