During the summer when I was traveling with my family, everyone wanted to get out of the car and stretch their legs, so we stopped at a little coffee shop.
The owners of the coffee shop had done an amazing job designing the interior and styling the space.
The walls were chalkboards filled with chalkboard art and their menu.
One wall was filled with coffee merchandise displayed on gorgeous rustic wooden shelves, and a display case was filled with fresh baked goods that were calling my name.
It had such wonderful ambiance, I hated to leave.
Fast-forward a few months…
My daughter leaves for work early in the morning and starts her coffee maker as soon as she wakes up, so it’s ready by the time she gets out of the shower.
She decided to rearrange her room this week and asked if I’d help her make a coffee station.
I remembered that little coffee shop with the wonderful atmosphere, so I made one for her with the same rustic kind of charm.
I used a thick piece of salvaged wood as the base for the shelf.
I attached two pipe fitting shelf brackets (affiliate link) onto the wood. These brackets are so much easier than finding the individual pieces from a home improvement store and assembling them. You only have to screw in twelve screws with these (six on the shelf and six on the wall).
I gave her a few of my vintage fryer baskets to hold coffee supplies.
A few hooks were attached to the front to hold mugs, then the brackets were screwed into the wall.
She is thrilled to have her own fully stocked coffee shop in her bedroom now. And it took less than 30 minutes to put together!
She was so excited when I gave it to her and loves it!
P.S. – The vintage style coffee shop sign is available in both red and blue as free printables here.

Vaya con Dios,
Cute idea. I love the rustic vintage coffee stations. My daughter has one in her Boston home using fiesta coffee cups. I favor my white cups but it is fun picking a color mug in the morning.
Thanks for sharing your creativity!
Just love it Angie. This reclaimed wood coffee station is amazing.

It looks fantastic, Angie! Your daughter is a lucky girl.
I am so in love with this station! It is beautiful and functional and down right amazing! I bet everyone is jealous of her coffee station now! -client
Thanks so much, Amber – the bummer is her Keurig died the day after I made the coffee station, but she ordered another one, so she’s waiting or it to arrive.
That’s adorable! Love it!!

Thanks so much, Susan!
Super cute!!!
This is so great, Angie…and I’d love to sit down with a cup of that coffee!
Angie, the coffee station shelf you made for your daughter is very cute. However, I have to say how much I dislike the use of the coffee “pods”–Starbucks, Keurig or others. I see them as one more environmental pollutant added to all the other forms of plastic refuse we generate. I think their use is not very environmentally responsible. Now, I don’t know if the pods are numbered and recyclable or not. If they are, that would help some. I guess the reason people like them is that it is faster to brew the coffee, but, seriously, are we that rushed? If so, maybe we should slow down and smell the coffee. I don’t mean to be a crank, but I think our planet needs us to pay attention to the “smaller” issues in saving our environment as well as the larger ones like oil spills, etc. The small things add up, you know? So, that’s my rant for today. Just something to think about.
You are right, Naomi – the smaller issues are important too! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Love the shelf idea!
Wow your coffee station is really amazing and professional, Angie. However, I’ve read Naomi’s comment and I agree with her. The usage of small coffee packet may have some unfriendly environment effects. Other things are 100% amazing. Wish you and your lucky daughter both have a successful October!
Angie, this project speaks to me on SO many levels. I absolutely ADORE this look!
Wait till you see my project I’m posting next week… I’ve reversed the pipes for something similar. Great minds…

Such a good idea for coffee corner in house. I want to draw more or create some décor for the wall behind. It’s a bit simple. I’m going draw some sunflowers with chalk paint and a little bit of sand. Do you think it’s OK?
Awww…..So Pweetie! I love it!
Good Job!
