Fall Decor Tin Can Flower Vase

Fall Decor Tin Can Flower Vase

If you’ve been visiting my blog for any length of time, you know I love easy projects made with tin cans.

And have I got an easy and really pretty one for you today!

It takes under five minutes from start to finish.

Make this easy Fall Decor Tin Can Flower Vase in under 5 minutes! Directions at Knick of Time | knickoftime.net

First, I need to ask – Do you like baked beans?I don’t, but my husband does.  So buying a can was worth it to make an adorable project.

You’ll need an empty tin can.  The size is important.  I’ll explain more later.

Next, you’ll need this printable found on Etsy here (affiliate link) for under $1.30.  That’s a bargain in my book!

Fall Decor Tin Can Flower Vase Directions:

  • Purchase the fall download and then print and cut it out.  You’ll want to trim off the top and bottom.  Leave the sides.
  • Remove the label from the can.
  • Position the printable under the top edge of the can.
  • Tape one side, then pull it tightly and tape the other side.
  • I found it was easier to use regular tape instead of double-sided tape.

You’ll have an adorable and inexpensive vase to put fall flowers in!

You could also use it as a planter.  Just put some rocks in it for drainage before adding the potting soil and plant.

It is sized to fit on a can of Bush’s 28 oz Pork & Beans.  I measured the can and it is 6″ tall.  I don’t think the circumference matters as much as the height.  But I didn’t check on another can, so I can’t be sure.

If you make one, be sure to let me know.

I can’t take any credit for the project.  The designer of the printable did all the work.

All I did was print, cut, tape, and take a few photos.

I’ll be back tomorrow evening with another project for my 15 Days of Chalking series.
