How To Make An Inexpensive DIY Gallery Wall

How to Make an Inexpensive DIY Photo Gallery Wall

When my mom came to visit a few weeks ago, I had a few pictures on the wall in the guest bedroom which looked great.  But it needed something else.  I decided to create an inexpensive photo gallery wall with fall-themed decor.

Here’s how it looked when I started.  It looked good, but there was a ton of empty space under the photos.

I don’t do empty space!

I started with what I had and used the wall vintage style mailbox to hold faux flowers.  I’ve used it many times in other rooms, but it finally has a permanent home now.

Both of my sons’ brides carried sunflowers, so I used small ones and added fall leaves in the mailbox.

One trip to Hobby Lobby yielded everything  else I needed to make my gallery wall look just the way I wanted.

Everything I purchased was on sale except the “better together” sign, so I used my 40% off coupon on it.

I also purchased a metal “Family” sign and a fall farmhouse wood sign with a barn and tractor on it to balance out the look of the gallery wall display.

Here’s how it ended up.  I left space on both sides to add photos of my youngest son and daughter.

Disclosure – The photo canvases came from Canvas On The Cheap who provided them to me.

I selected the size I wanted each gallery wrapped canvas to be, then uploaded my high-resolution photos on their website.

They have different frame and wall-hanging options I wanted (I chose no frame and the self-levering hardware.)

My dimly-lit guest room doesn’t do justice to the high quality these canvas prints are.  I have a photo canvas from another company, and the quality doesn’t come close to these.

You might think they would be expensive, but the company is aptly named Canvas On The Cheap.

I ordered all 16″x 20″ canvases and they were less than $18.00 each.  That’s a steal!
