Chalk Art Seed Packet Banner Supplies:

Chalkboard Pocket Banners

Vintage Seeds Transfer (set of 10 transfers on 1 sheet)

Chalkology Paste

Squeegee

Chalk Couture Vintage Seeds Transfer available from Knick of Time

There are three different transfers for each seed packet.

I’m only using the number 3 transfer.  It’s hard to see, but if you look close, the number is on the bottom right side.

Chalk Art Banner Instructions:

  • Wax the banners with a very light coat of wax.  I used Easy Peasy Spray Wax.  (This isn’t crucial but I wanted to make sure I could remove the chalk paste if I made a mistake.)
  • Line up the transfer (with the number 3 at the bottom) along the top of the pennant.
  • Place several large drops of chalk paste above the silkscreen on the blue space.
  • Working from top to bottom, lightly spread the paste with the squeegee.
  • Applying more pressure, remove the excess paste and lines, working from side to side.
  • Remove the transfer and let air dry, or speed up the dry time with a blow dryer.
  • Wipe off any paste that went over the edge of the transfer.
  • String the pennants on twine.
  • Clean the transfer in lukewarm water.  I like to use the Board Eraser because it removes most of the stains on the transfer left by the paste.

The colors I used were Garden Herb for the peas, Candy Apple for the radishes, Orange Peel for the carrots, and Buttermilk for the sweet onions.

I also made one pennant with just white paste for a true chalk art look.

I think both versions are so pretty!

Which one is your favorite?
