Welcome to Our Porch DIY Sign
Gather. Chat. Repeat. We can’t think of anything we’d rather do! Welcome guests to your porch with this easy and friendly sign.
Watch my video to see just how fast it is to make such a beautiful sign!
Welcome to Our Porch DIY Sign Supplies:
- Welcome to Our Porch Adhesive Reusable Stencil
- Any surface at least 12″x18.” I used the Sylvie White Frame because it’s so pretty and also reusable. When I want to make a new sign on it, the chalk paste comes right off with water!
- Any color of chalk paste – I used Bright White.
- Squeegee – I used the largest handled squeegee without the handle.
Other useful Supplies:
I also finished two new Farmhouse Style Porch Welcome signs.
One with a barn and silo. The other with a windmill.
Made on pine boards and stained this color before adding the lettering and other lovely elements.
MEASUREMENTS OF BOARD: 48″X9.25″
I purchased an 8-ft. board and cut it in half. So the cost of the boards for each of these signs was under $8.
Do you have a sign to welcome family and friends? I’d love to hear about it!
Vaya con Dios,
Angie
Thank you for sharing this! We actually used a wood “screen” type thing that had been installed on the side of our house to block the view of the air conditioner. It was made of pallet wood, so we just disassembled it and nailed it together in the shape that we wanted for our front porch fall sign.
