Farmhouse Totes – Farmhouse Friday

If I asked you to name one piece of decor in your home that not only looks great, but is functional as well, what would your answer be?  #1 on my list has to be totes. They are hard-working and can be used in any room in the house, from the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the craft room – even the garage. You can buy vintage totes, upcycle a thrift store tote, or make them from scratch. My favorite {Read More}

Singing the Blues with Blue Farmhouse Style

While I love white as the wall color in my house, I think blue in all shades makes the perfect companion to white in farmhouse style, so let’s take a look at some of them that “sing the blues” beautifully! Blue Farmhouse Style

How to Repurpose Headboards into Creative New Projects

One of my favorite projects are repurposed headboards, because they are so easy to come by inexpensively at thrift stores, yard sales, and auctions, so  if you’ve ever wonded how to repurpose a cheap or free headboard, I’ve got lots of great ideas for you. There are so many great ways to repurpose them into something useful.  Some require only basic skills, and some more advanced wood-working abilities, but you’r sure to find one you’ll love! Let’s take a look at… How to {Read More}

Valentine DIY Projects: Farmhouse Friday

Valentines Day… do you decorate for it, or not?  I’m kind of lazy when it comes to Valentines Day, so the only time I make new Valentine projects is if I find something easy, and it fits in with the rest of my farmhouse decor.

Farmhouse Bathrooms and Projects

I’ve remodeled my fair share of farmhouse bathrooms over the years, some long before I ever started blogging, so I thought this would be a great theme for Farmhouse Friday this week. If you’ve ever thought about giving your bathroom a farmhouse makeover, you’ll find loads of ideas here for inspiration. Farmhouse Bathrooms Design and DIY Project Inspiration

Farmhouse Friday – Repurposed Christmas Decor

Welcome to the Christmas edition of Farmhouse Friday! Christmas can be a budget-busting time of year, but with a little creativity (and these repurposed Christmas decor ideas!), you can cross Christmas decorating off your list.  Many of these projects would make awesome and super affordable (or free) gifts, and I specially selected ideas that look awesome as farmhouse decor.  Let’s get started!

Farmhouse Friday – Laundry Room

For farmhouse Friday this week, I thought we’d look at one of the most used spaces in any home – the laundry room. My farmhouse laundry room is one of my favorite rooms in my house, and I’d happily pull my bed in here, if my husband would let me! It’s a small room, but it’s very functional, and it’s filled with lots of vintage pieces that make me happy, like an antique clothes wringer, with my daughter’s baby dress hanging on {Read More}

Farmhouse Friday – Baskets and Bins

Today for Farmhouse Friday, I picked a topic that’s a borderline obsession with me – baskets and bins! I love buying them, upcycling them, and repurposing them, and I use them in every room in my house, as I’m sure you do too. I’ve got a big round-up of ways to use baskets and bins in your farmhouse decor!

Farmhouse Friday – Farmhouse Cabinets, Cupboards and Shelves

  As I was sitting at my kitchen table, brainstorming the theme for this week’s edition of Farmhouse Friday, I looked up, and it was staring me right in the face! I saw my Upcycled Farmhouse Cabinet, and realized that I’ve made a lot of cabinets, cupboards and shelves, and since those are things every home needs, it would make a great theme.

Farmhouse Friday – Primitive Decor

Happy Farmhouse Friday to you!  Thanks to all of you who left sweet and understanding comments about rotten attitude yesterday.  When I went back and reread my post later, my attitude seemed even more silly.  It’s a sunny, beautiful day today, and my outlook is so much better.  I’ve always know gray, dreary days affected my mood – I just wish I could stay home on those days, so I’m not out finding fault with everyone I cross paths with! 🙂 Okay…back {Read More}
