Wooden Shutters for My Entryway & How-To Tutorial

I really haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, but I’m still in New Mexico with my family, and it’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride and a difficult time, but I’m not ready to share about it just yet, but I can say prayers for my whole family would be appreciated right now.

I did want to take a moment to show you the wooden shutters my husband and I finished for our entryway before I went out of state.

Originally I had hung some drop cloth curtains in the windows as a temporary window covering, until I could decide what I wanted.  One day I was looking at the barn door cabinet my husband built into the wall, and I realized that some wooden shutters would compliment the cabinet door.

Thanks so much for continuing to follow along while I’m out of state.  I have several guest bloggers with some great posts I think you’ll love, but I’ll be updating you more about what’s going on soon.

You can see more of our entryway HERE.

  17. Peace to you and your family. The shutters have inspired me to change out the curtains on the back doors to folding louvered vintage shutters. Less fabric clutter, same shade for the room.
