Those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile how much I love using vintage pieces in my home. I used to find most of my pieces at auctions, but I haven’t had much time to go to them lately, and the few I went to turned out to be duds. Hopefully next spring and summer they’ll improve, but in the meantime, I wanted to show you a hanging scale clock I got recently from. It looks like an old grocery scale, but it’s actually a working clock. It’s no longer available where I purchased mine, but I found a similar antique style hanging scale HERE.
I don’t need to weigh produce, but I do need a clock in my kitchen, and this fits in with the vintage farmhouse style of my kitchen much better than the clock I had before.
It includes a hanging tray that you can display things on.
I could have attached a chain to the top and hung it from my ceiling, but I used a bracket that extends away from the wall instead. The bracket had previously been attached to a porch post we used as a wall divider between our kitchen and living room (see here), but we’re making some changes to that wall, which I hope to show you soon, so the bracket came in handy to hold the hanging scale clock.

This was not a sponsored post, and I was not given the hanging scale clock. I did purchase it using some of my refer-a-friend credits – just like you can!
Have a great week!
Blessings,
Oh, that’s a really wonderful idea…stylish and functional! Your lavender looks perfect in it!
Loving the Decor Steals website! Hoping to find some of the more elusive items I’m looking for to complete some vignettes I’m working on. I love how you hung your clock!
Hey, Angie– where did you get the beautiful bracket holding the clock?
Pamela, I got it at Hobby Lobby!
trying to find a clock like yours
