I didn’t have much time for thrift shopping while in New Mexico, but my son needed a nice shirt for his grandmother’s funeral, so I hit a few shops and found a ceramic tissue holder while he was hunting for a shirt.

It looked fine as it was, but I wanted to give it a little farmhouse character, and if you’ve visited my blog for any length of time, you know what that means…
Milk and Cream.
If the day comes when I get tired of those three words, it’ll be a sad day indeed. 🙂
I used the image transfer on shipping tape method to create an adhesive decal (tutorial here).

In just a few minutes my tissue holder had a cute farmhouse look. 🙂 Even my husband commented that it was cute, and he doesn’t use the word, “cute” often! 🙂

I normally use 3″ wide shipping tape for transfer projects, because it’s the widest tape I’ve been able to find locally, but I really would like to be able to do some slightly larger transfers, and did find 4″ wide tape on Amazon (affiliate link). I ordered it, so I’ll let you know how well it works when I receive it.
If you want to make one yourself, I did find a really inexpensive tissue holder on Amazon, shaped like a house. The tissue looks like a puff of smoke coming out of the chimney. How cute! 🙂

Very cute, Angie. Nice to have you back! Did enjoy your guest bloggers, though, too.
I pinned your image transfer tutorial – how cute is your tissue holder! My head is spinning with ideas on what I could decal. Thanks a bunch Angie!
