Have you watched Dunkirk at the theater yet? My family and I saw it a few days ago. As war movies go, it has very little harsh language or graphic violence, yet tells the fact-based story so beautifully. The performances by Tom Hardy and Kenneth Branagh were particularly moving. I highly recommend it!
1. The last few gladiolus are blooming in my farmhouse junk garden. They put on such an amazing display this summer, and I can’t wait to plant more next year.
2. My husband and I spent the better part of this week working on our porch makeover. It was SO awful and it was high time we did it, but it left little time to do much else. I’ll be showing it to you in a few days, but just so you can see why it needed to be done, here’s the before photo. BAD, right? So stay tuned for the makeover reveal!
3. Julie at Love My Simple Home made this large driftwood canvas sailboat using my Antique Script stencils. It makes me want to take off and go back to the lake to hunt for driftwood to make one myself. Love it!
4. Diana @ Adirondack Girl at Heart has a real eye for seeing the swan in the ugly duckling and turned a chippy, worn piece salvaged from a bench into a farmhouse sign using the Feed Sack stencil – How cute and creative is that?!
5. This weekend, I have a special sale on my set of three large quilt block stencils. Use the code WEEKEND to get $5.00 off your purchase! Hurry, though, because the offer ends on July 31st!
The tutorial to make this set of quilt block wall hangings can be found HERE.
And, here’s one for the road …
Susan at Homeroad celebrated July 4th by making these DIY Fireworks Porch Decor using the Patriotic Stars stencil. Pin the idea at Homeroad, so you can make some next year!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends!
Vaya con Dios,
Thanks for the movie review and the other goodies. Have a great weekend.
I hope your weekend was wonderful too, Marlene!
Thanks for the feature of my Poultry Feed sign using your stencil, Angie 🙂 Much appreciated. LOVE your stencils!!
Hope your weekend is going the way you want, Angie!
Thanks Naomi! 🙂
Angie, I just tho’t of a question I have for you. I want an alphabet stencil with letters about 1″ for a little box I have painted. Do you have one in your stencils that are for sale? Or where is the best place (company/brand) to find one?
I have decided that I am going to learn to stencil! My tries so far have left much to be desired, but I want to be able to do it right. I am on a painting project binge!
