Last week I received a beautiful handmade woven laundry basket and liner from Amish Baskets.com. I wasn’t familiar with the company and I own quite a few well made handmade baskets, so I wasn’t sure how they would compare. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quaity and workmanship.
Amish Baskets is an online marketplace for three Old Order Amish families, and they offer a huge selection of baskets for every purpose. They are “working” baskets, but are also designed to be collectible pieces for the home.
They allowed me to select a large laundry basket which has sturdy leather handles. It holds more laundry than a regular plastic basket, so it will easily hold large loads.
Every basket is signed by the certified authentic Amish family who crafted it.
I’ll be using my basket in my bedroom. It’s much prettier than having a hamper in the room and is easy to carry it to the laundry room with the leather handles.
