Farmer’s Market DIY Shopping Bag, Vacation, & a Giveaway

I’m gettin’ the heck out of Dodge ….  Well, make that Illinois.
I’ve  wanted to fly south all winter long, and in one week I’m finally getting my chance!
My youngest son, daughter, and I are going on a vacation … someplace WARM!
My daughter started planning the trip in early December when she had some time off work.  At first she wanted to see the Northern Lights in Canada.  The more she thought about it, the more she realized going to a cold climate sounded miserable in December.  She asked my opinion and I told her I’d be happy with anyplace where there was a hot tub or heated pool!  So she started looking at places with a warmer climate.

I’ll share where we are going and all the details soon, but suffice it to say, I needed a beach bag.

Do you know how hard it is to find a beach bag in the stores in the dead of winter?
No worries though.  I would just make one myself, farmhouse style of course!
I used the Farmer’s Market stencil on a burlap tote from Burlap Fabrics.

Less than 10 minutes later, I had a farmhouse style beach bag!
When vacation is over, I’ll enjoy using it at the grocery store or farmer’s market.
Now … I’ve saved the best for last! …
Make this DIY Shopping Bag to take to the Farmer's Market and you'll be the envy of the other shoppers! Made with Knick of Time's Vintage Sign Stencils| #knickoftime #farmersmarket #vintagesignstencils #reusable #farmhousestyle

I found some things I would purchase, first, I would get this: CANVAS LAMINATED SHEETS 8.5″ X 11″ (6 PACK). I am making some ‘paper dolls’ for my 3 granddaughters, this canvas might make some neat clothes or even the dolls themselves as you can feed it through the printer…Next, I would purchase some of this: JUTE WEBBING. My home is ‘decorated’ furnished, with mostly ‘early lawn sale’ or ‘early free on the sidewalk’. I would use it for repairing and refinishing the webbing in seats.

Thanks for the opportunity to dream, even if someone else’s dreams are the ones that come true. It is a blessing for you and the Burlap Fabric Company to provide these. Blessings!

I would use it to buy some of the Herringbone bulap or the Chevron burlap. Either would be the perfect one to use on a cushioned seat for a footstool I want to make out of an old wooden box that belonged to my grandfather. It has advertising on the sides, I love it. All I need to do is clean it up, add some wooden feet and make a cushioned seat using either of those great looking fabrics. I also liked their burlap ribbons and tote bags.
