Painted Mirror into Creepy Halloween DIY Decor
Happy Friday the 13th!
Do you decorate for Halloween?
I don’t do any decorating for Halloween, but it’s my daughter’s favorite holiday.
This post will be pretty short, but I just wanted to share with you a fun project that I finished earlier this week for my daughter.
So I painted an old mirror that I’ve had for several years and upcycled it for some fun and slightly creepy Halloween decor.
Originally I had only intended to paint the frame and not the mirror, so I used painter’s tape to mask off the mirror where the image would be.
But once I started painting the frame, I decided to paint the mirror as well.
Letting the paint dry overnight ensured that it wouldn’t pull up with the adhesive back transfer.
I used chalkboard paint, which covered it great, only needing one coat.
The spiders and skeleton both came from the dollar store.
So if you have an old mirror or photo frame, this is such an easy way to dress it up with any of our club transfers.
I used the Creep It Real transfer, this month’s Club Couture transfer, with just Bright White Chalk Paste.
The kit includes the transfer, as well as three paste packet colors for $19.99, with free shipping.
The only other thing you’ll need is a squeegee to apply the paste.
Here’s the sample project from Chalk Couture using the colors included in the kit on the Sylvie Black Frame.
And here’s a video showing how to do the project.
Creep it real!
