{Press On}

My daughter and I went to the flea market last weekend,
and I found quite a few little goodies, including this old
iron cooling rest.  It only cost 50 cents and since we
are just starting the remodeling of our laundry room,
I thought this would make a fitting decoration for the room.
I wanted to do something fun with it, and a verse
from Philippians 3:14 popped into my head, so
I used some Scrabble tiles to form the words, “Press On”.
Then scanned the verse from an old Bible,
printed it out on transfer paper, and ironed
it onto a scrap of canvas and glued it to the iron rest.
The people of Israel were instructed by God to
write His word, “on the doorposts of your house”, (Deut. 6:9)
and I’ve always thought that was such a beautiful way
to remind them to love God with their whole heart,
so I like finding ways to write His word in my home as well.
