I love the look of old buttons in a jar, but you really can’t
appreciate how pretty the individual buttons are that way, so
last week I decided to tinker around and make some projects
with some of them. I showed you my button heart ornament HERE,
and I made this little project as well.

Very little supplies or time was needed.
I just used 1 page from an antique magazine,
a handful of old buttons, a photo mat, a thin board to
mount it all on and my glue gun.

Now I have a pretty frame for this lovely old photo.

My goal for the last month has been to do something with
things I already had, before I’d let myself bring anything new home,
so here’s just a few little projects I finished up recently.
I had this shelf sitting in my workshop and thought
it might be useful in my kitchen, but it needed some updating first.
Voila! Paint is such a miracle cure, isn’t it?!!

I may distress it at some point, but I’m liking it this way for now.

I paid a whopping 50 cents for this bread box at a yard sale,
and all it needed was some cleaning up and paint also.
I thought about keeping it, but didn’t really need it, so I listed (and sold)
it in my Etsy shop instead.

Have you finished up any projects recently that have been
waiting for your attention? I still need to do a MAJOR cleaning
and reorganization in my workshop before I can let myself go
to the auctions again, but it’s felt good to finish up things I already
had first. I have really missed going to the auction for the last 2
months, so I am motivated to get my workshop done.

I am always so impressed with your ability to organize and manage your time to complete so many great projects! As I wind up a heavy garage sale season I told a couple of my friends to get their calendars so we could set aside days where we create things. I thought that may hold us accountable to really get some fun things made.I thought about your Antique Graphics today as I bought eight Life Magazines from the 1940’s. They are so awesome with the vintage advertisements, graphics, and photos.I got them for 50 cents each. Do you think I did ok and do I dare tear some of the pages out for projects?
Even my projects are getting mad at me that they aren’t finished yet!

Old MOP buttons are my go-to goodies when I need a little something to round out of piece…there is just something comforting about buttons :~) Lovely project!
