Since there was no auction
last week, and I just couldn’t
stand not bringing something home,
I hit the thrift store instead.
Some days are total duds at the

I got 2 old pairs of ice skates
that will make their way into
my decor next winter.
I also got bunches of old
lace and sewing notions.
It was a great day for finding frames.
They were getting ready
to throw a shopping cart full of
vintage sewing patterns into the
dumpster, but they let me have them.
Next week I’ll share why
I would want that many old sewing patterns,
when I don’t own a sewing machine.

You sure do find the best stuff! At the local antique stores, they WRAP fragile purchases in old sewing patterns! Shame on them!
