Remember when you were a kid
and you wrote your name on your “valuables”
to make sure your ownership was obvious?

Well, this weekly Thursday Feature
is a tribute to our childlike desire
to write our name all over
the little treasures we love!
First up for me this week,
is this Kodak Duraflex IV camera.
It makes a great photo prop,
and looks terrific sitting amongst
my other vintage goods on my shelf.
Next up,
I brought home several tool boxes
from the auction house.
I’ll sell the tool boxes,
but I have a fetish for old tools,
especially those with wooden handles.

Are these gorgeous, or what?!!
The last little treasures this week
are these 2 metal rulers and
terrific metal clip “thing”.
I have no idea what I’ll do with this,
but it’s so bloomin’ cute,
it’s a keeper!
And the rulers…
those are self-explanatory, right?
Numbers + Rust = MINE
What have you written your
name on this week?
Blessings,

Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!

I wrote my name on a primitive pear pin keep that I just bought today. I think this means, since I now have 3, that a collection has been started!

I love the clocks, I always buy them when I find an old one. I have been writing my name on post cards going overseas this week. Laura, Cottage and Broome
You silly girl, that metal thingy makes a spark to light a blow torch. My ex hubby and father in law used this all the time to weld.
Fun finds…love the wood handles on the tools to 🙂 Laurel@chippingwithcharm
The painted colors on those handles are so loved and worn it’s like an autumn rainbow. andrea@townandprairie
Terrific finds! I especially like the wooden handles!
I have a collection of my daddy’ old tools that I adore!
Thank you for linking this fabulous post to Potpourri Friday! Your participation is appreciated!
Wow, everything is plastic these days and we forget how special “r’eal wood” is. Wish I had saved the old brownie camera and my mothers typewriter from the 40’s. I did save a real iron iron that they put it the fire to get hot to iron their clothes and my aunt who is 85 remembers ironing with it.
Charming…especially like the vintage still-life you set up with the old camera and glasses! Nice post~
I absolutely LOVE to see the goodies you find. I’m writing my name on your blog. 🙂

Fabulous vintage goodies. The colors and texture of those handles makes me smile. I love vintage rulers and clocks too. Thanks so much for sharing these.
What lovely treasures!
The “clip thingy” is a flint spark lighter. I used them in college science classes. It’s a reusable way to light torches, burners, & other gas reliant devices. Still cool none the less.
The colors and texture of those handles makes me smile. Collecting vintage rulers and clocks are also my favorite. I really enjoyed lot.
Love the olde tools.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Angie, you found some fine old things, now, what are you going to do with them all? I knew that “thing” was a lighter of sorts but couldn’t remember for what until I saw the other posts, LOL I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
Your other readers are right…it’s for sparking to light gas torches. I hadn’t seen one of those since I was a child! I love your photos. So nicely done.
