Boy, oh boy,
do I have my work cut out for me.
THIS…
is the workshop I am
so excited to have at our new home.
but THIS…
is the condition it is in right now.
We still have to move all my shelf
units from the old house,
so right now everything is laying
here, there and everywhere.
I am making progress getting
the office side of the building organized
and decorated, but I could
seriously use some elves to
help with the workshop side.
And THIS…
is not a bathroom I ever dreamed about,
except in a bad dream.
It’s actually worse in real life.
Yes, that is fake blue tile paneling on the walls.
It’s probably at least 30 years old…at least.
It will be the first remodeling project
my husband tackles.
And THESE…
are my kitchen cabinets.
Don’t you just love the “stained glass” doors?
Yes, I was being sarcastic.
We’re still trying to figure out how
that kitchen will be remodeled.
The “to do” list looks like
it reaches into our old age,
but I guess the only
way to climb a mountain
is one step at a time!
Putting on my climbing shoes now.
If you don’t hear from me,
please send a search and rescue team
{preferrably one armed with paintbrushes}.
Blessings,
Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!

I wish I was closer, I could come down and help you for a weekend. I would yank the scalloped edges off the sides of the shelves in the kichen, then replace the faux stained glass w screen or chicken wire or wood if you want to hide everything. Give it all one of your cool paint treatments along with some cool hardware and wit till money comes in for a new counter. Back the shelves w beadboard.
Bathrooms are tough. That’s cool your husband is willing to help. I plan to replace our old bathroom built ins with dressers someday, but life keeps getting in the way.
I would definitely paint the workshop red, in all your extra free time:). I’ll have to send you some pictures of my garage to make you feel better and we’ll be dealing with snow in another month or so. My goal is to have it organized enough so we can park in the garage by first snowfall.
Have fun!
It does look like you have your work cut out for you, but guess what? We will be right here by your side the whole way 🙂 Take lots of pics to show us, I know those mountains can be really steep. Hang in there!
When you look at the whole picture, it does seem like a high mountain, but one day at a time and one room at a time and you will get it done.
