It doesn’t take much to make
my vintage-loving heart happy,
as this week’s
“Writing My Name on It”
treasures will demonstrate.
I found this rusty, crusty
little doo-dad hanging in
the outbuilding at our new house.
I have no idea what it is/was,
but I love the little curly-Q design.
It’s perfect for holding a little bundle of candles.
My name got put on it when
we signed the closing papers on the house!
Then there’s this adorable little light.
I removed it from
I removed it from
an old Kenmore sewing machine
that was too trashed to keep.
It has 2 slots on the back, which will make
it perfect to hang and use as
a unique little accent light
once my husband rewires it
so I don’t have to plug it into the
motor and foot peddle to turn it on.
And remember when I showed you this recently?
And inside are these very cool clip files for holding receipts?
Well, there are 10 of those files inside,
and I will sell 9 of them (only 4 left!),
but one was missing the clips for the backside,
so that means I get to write my name on that one.
But that’s not all!
A whole stack of receipts from the 1940’s
from a Grocery & Hardware store,
along with 1 little ticket stub.
Sadly, I looked up information on the store,
which has been in operation since the 1920’s
and the last family owner of the store recently passed away,
with no heir to take over the store, so
the store and his home were auctioned off last month.
I could just frame that little ticket stub, it’s so cute!
See…I told you I was easy to please!
These little scraps aren’t going to
sit in a drawer gathering more dust though.
Come back tomorrow
and see what I have planned for them!!
I hope you’ve found a little treasure
to write your name on this week!
Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!

What incredible treasures you have found! Thank you so much for sharing them with us this week at Inspiration Friday! 🙂

Wow what treaures. How sad to see a legacy no longer exist. I need to go check out what you did with the scraps.
Hugs,
Ellen
Amazing treasures! Sorry I missed you sale and will be sure to watch for the next one.
I tried to comment last week, but it was one of those days when the comments form wasn’t working correctly. I probably missed it out of frustration. I kept a list of those that didn’t post and went back to see if the comment ever “kicked in”. Some did and some didn’t. Fortunately is seems to be working again this week!
