Welcome back for the 2nd
Party #1 got off to a bumpy start
when I had linky issues,
but thanks to those who waited
patiently for me to get them figured out.
It is incredibly satisfying
to restore a battered piece
of furniture that has been
“Knicked by Time.”
Check out these gorgeous examples.
I have a desk nearly identical to this one,
but I loved the totally different treatment that
Jill, at Junky Vagabond
gave to hers. Terrific job, Jill!
Next up, Shelly at a little bit o’Shizzle
brought out the personality in this
highboy dresser with her amazing skills.
As with a lot of old furniture,
the first step involved…
VENEER.
I am in love with the gorgeous bookcase
that Terry from Forever Decorating
restored. Her first order of business
was dealing with the dreaded
bleed-through that often
appears when you paint stained wood
and I love what her husband added to
give this piece a more finesse & stability.
