Antique Graphics Wednesday – Buster Brown Advertisement

It just wouldn’t be back-to-school time without a new pair of shoes, would it?

Did any of you wear Buster Brown shoes when you were a child?  I fondly remember going to their shoe store at the beginning of the school year to buy “school shoes”.  I guess it stands out in my mind, primarily because they had a treasure box that you could pick something out of when you bought a pair of shoes, and I loved a freebie – even back then.
This adorable advertisement for Buster Brown Stockings came from a 1910 “The Housekeeper” magazine.
