Truffles, Stenciled Bar Stools, & More: Talk of the Town #138

Happy Tuesday, All! Can the weather decide whether it’s summer or fall where you are?  One minute it’s crazy hot, the next it’s like fall, then back to crazy hot.  I won’t complain much because I love summer and fall, so it’s the best of both worlds! Let’s get on with the party now, shall we? Welcome back to Talk of the Town!

Talk of the Town #136

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week is proving to be exhausting with a capital E! My daughter’s car broke down at work so I’ve been having to run my son to work then run her to work and come back home before going back to get him, then in the wee hours of the morning, going to get her.  Did I mention she works in another town? My husband is out of town for work all week so there’s only my vehicle {Read More}

Happy Tuesday!  After a weekend thrifting adventure with my sister that yielded numerous project pieces and ideas, I am SO invigorated and can’t wait to start working on new posts to bring you this fall. Let’s get to the party! Welcome back to Talk of the Town!

Talk of the Town #134

I just returned from visiting family in New Mexico last night and my sister decided to return with me on the train.  We waited 7 hours in the Albuquerque depot because someone died on the track just outside of LA delaying our train from departing. There was a huge group of senior citizens traveling together and every available seat in the depot was taken, so my sister and I had to sit on the floor that whole time. Oh well, {Read More}

Hi friends and happy Tuesday!   I’ve been having lots of fun visiting my son, my sister, and her family in New Mexico.  Today we drove to Santa Fe to go to Old Town, the Farmers Market, and the National Cemetery to visit my father and mother-in-law’s graves.  Last week the whole family came over to my mom’s house for dinner and games which was a lot of fun. Well, enough about me because it’s time to party! Welcome back {Read More}

I’ve been working like a busy beaver trying to finish up projects before I head out of town for awhile visiting my middle son.  I did just see him in May, but my mom has been visiting for several weeks and I’m returning with her.  I can’t wait to see my kiddo and the rest of my family. Now it’s time for the party! 🙂

It is such a relief to have my bathroom makeover done and my secret patio finished. I can kick back and relax indoors and out! Thank you so much for all the sweet comments you left about both.  If you’ve never left a comment before on my blog because you don’t think I’m read them, I’m here to tell you I read all the comments.   Every. Single. One.  And I so appreciate them! Now it’s time for the party!

This week is even a crazier weak than normal.  Our church is having VBS this week and I’m helping to serve dinner in the kitchen, so I drop my son off at work early in the morning, drive back home to get some work done, then go back and pick him up before we both head to the church.  It’s fun, but a little hectic!  Let’s get to the party and at the end of the post, I’ll announce the {Read More}

I don’t know about you, but I wish the “lazy days of summer” were just a bit more lazy.  I hit the floor running from the time I get up until the time I go to bed and just wish I could do nothing for awhile.   Do you feel that way or is your summer more relaxing?
