Talk of the Town #131

It is such a relief to have my bathroom makeover done and my secret patio finished. I can kick back and relax indoors and out! Thank you so much for all the sweet comments you left about both.  If you’ve never left a comment before on my blog because you don’t think I’m read them, I’m here to tell you I read all the comments.   Every. Single. One.  And I so appreciate them! Now it’s time for the party!

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day yesterday.  My daughter came over and we grilled outside, but the bugs were ferocious so we ate indoors.  She stayed to watch a movie with me and we laughed so much. Now it’s time do get on with the party! Welcome back to Talk of the Town! We’ve got some fantastic features to show you this week!

Last week we traveled from Illinois to Arkansas to New Mexico and back to help our middle son and his wife move.  He landed a graphic design job at a large church fresh after graduating from college (yippie!).  His wife was accepted to graduate school (another yippie!).  As a mom, it’s so good to see their lives coming together.  I’m so proud of both of them and couldn’t be happier!  God is so good!  I’ll share more about my trip {Read More}

Happy May Day friends!   It’s a beautiful day in my neighborhood and I hope it is in yours too. If you’ve been waiting for some more bathroom remodel updates, don’t think I’ve forgotten.  We took a short break from it to work on yard and garden projects.  Then we’ll be helping one of our sons and his wife move to New Mexico.  We’re so happy about that, because they’ll be very close to extended family again and I can see {Read More}

I’ve been a busy bee the last several days.  I made a yummy dessert before my husband was sent out of town for work again yesterday – this time for the whole week.  He helped me pick out new glasses before he left.  I’ve been needing a new pair ever since the almost tragic kayaking incident, so I’m happy to stop wearing my old backup pair of glasses. Well, enough about my personal life because now it’s time to show you the {Read More}

Talk of the Town #119

My husband keeps getting sent out of town for work, so I’ve been plugging away on projects for the bathroom remodel.  I’m bummed that some of the bigger projects are getting delayed longer than I would like, but what can you do?  No point in whining about it!  Let’s move on to something more inspiring …
