This set of beautiful bird prints both came from a 1920’s bird book, and show birds resting on oak tree branches, with acorns still attached to the branches. They are perfect for Autumn style framed wall art, and would make lovely greeting cards as well. {CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE} This pair of birds are called Firecrest. This bird is called a Woodchat. Antique Bird Illustrations Instant Art Printables
Last year, about this time, I shared a bunch of beautiful bird illustrations with you, and today I have a few more. Theses are from a 1920’s book. These would be beautiful as enlarged wall prints, or a small grouping of framed prints. They would be really pretty on note cards also. You can use Picmokey to turn the two images on each page into individual images. {CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE} The other bird images can be found here, {Read More}
Antique Graphics Wednesday – 1920’s Bird Book Plates
To celebrate the first day of spring, today I’m sharing some beautiful book plate images of birds from a 1920’s book called, “Birds of the British Isles”. Enjoy!! (Click on Images to View Original Size) These would make beautiful framed prints. I used one on a mixed media project – layered over a painted canvas, with some sheet music, and a dictionary definition. Blessings, Angie
