Repurposed Antique Sewing Machine Stand Wall Bins

As is often the case, I bring home the junk and come up with ideas of what to do with it, and my husband does the actual work.  I brainstormed ideas for awhile, and finally decided to turn them into wall bins.  There were already holes in the legs, where they had previously been attached to the rest of the table, so it was just logical to attach something to the holes.  I picked out three old bread pans and my husband attached them to the legs.  There was only one hole behind two of the pans, which posed the problem of the pans swiveling back and forth, so he found some metal strips in our garage, and attached them from the back of the legs, into the pans to brace them. That made them super stable.

The legs have such a beautiful shape and the little metal wheels at the bottom are just icing on the cake.

The top two holes are perfect for mounting it on a wall, but since I didn’t want to makes holes in my wall to take a photo, I just attached wire to hang it.  I can see this being used in many ways throughout the house.

Of course, it would look adorable in a craft/sewing room, holding spools of thread or craft supplies, but I think it would also be wonderful holding towels in a bathroom, or even used as a spice rack in the kitchen.
