NESTING…A Little Beauty on a Dreary Day & Shabby Apple GIVEAWAY Reminder

In the midst of a cold and dreary-looking day,
there’s always some beauty to be found.

Yesterday we went to our old house,
to gather up more things that
hadn’t been moved yet,
and my kids found these 2 adorable
little bird’s nests on the ground
that had been blown out of a tree.

Aside from being bird’s nests,
{which are always charming}
these 2 are especially endearing to me
because there is hair from
our 2 horses intertwined in them.

Just a little bundle of AMAZING, aren’t they?

I found this page inside a tattered school reader.
Perfect for my Thanksgiving table!
We have a lovely bush right outside
our living room window in our new
home that some birds have claimed as their home.
They have a sweet little nest inside
the bush, that is well protected from predators
because the bush is loaded with thorns.
What is really funny is that
they’ve lined the nest with scraps of plastic,
so I guess they have winterized their home!
It’s a joy to listen to them chirp,
and fluff their little nest.

Hope you find lots of
lovely in your day –
regardless of the weather.

There is always, always, always,
something to be thankful for!
