Today’s Pickin’s Were Mighty Fine!

The pickin’s were anything but slim yesterday!

I had time to kill between dropping my son
off at basketball practice and going to the auction,
so I dropped by one of my favorite thrift stores.

I walked out with enough bounty that
I decided to skip the auction and come home!

First up – a silver plated photo tree.
Yeah…I love it, but it’s going in my shop.
I’m keeping WAY too many things lately and not
stocking my shop as well as I’d like,
but maybe it’ll stick around awhile
so I can use it for Christmas photos & cards.

I also got a big box full of pinecones –
huge ones, small ones, various shapes and sizes
and some “pods” from a tree.
The sign on the box said 25 cents each for the BIG ones.
I took the whole box!
The gal at the register said I could have them all for $2.
Can’t wait to put them everywhere!

Candle holders – gotta part with these too.

Check out these 2 antique tin ceiling fragments.
I’m keeping these!

I got them both for 50 cents.
Someone did the work for me
and put a hook on the back and edging around the sides.

This was taped to the back of them.

Vintage ladies’ elegant leather evening gloves.
Another one I’ll have to part with.

A cable knit sweater….
Soon you’ll see what’s to become of it.

I also got some faux pearls, holiday ribbon,
a Cinnamon Bun lotion gift set (smells yummy!)

A good day pickin’…is a great day!

Blessings,
