Antique Graphics Wednesday – 1888 Advertisements

My 1888 Harper’s Magazine was filled
with wonderful advertisements.
I shared some with you last week and
have more for you today.

LOVE this ladies’ boot ad!

I’ve got a “thing” for buggies and
would love to spend a day riding
some back roads in one.

I have several advertisements for Pear’s Soap,
but this is a new {old} one to me.
I didn’t know soap could make such
a happy baby, but apparently it could!

Wouldn’t you love to have this typewriter?!
And a cool ad for Percheron horses.

I love the typography on this ad.

I’ve got loads more of these ads
that I’ll be sharing in the weeks to come,
so I hope you can enjoy and use them.
Blessings,
Angie

  6. Angie, those are so cute! I love the baby add…but they didn’t show the tub tilting over and all that soapy water spilling all over the floor!!!! And did you notice how prolific the stud horse was?? 80 mares in foal from the stud?? Love that the old ads we enjoy today were saved and now shared…thanks so much for the time you take to share them with us!
