I’ve seen quite a few wall coat racks
created from old carpenter’s levels on Etsy and Pinterest,
and have wanted to make one for a long time,
but the prices at auctions usually go
that was reasonable priced,
The nice thing about these is they are easy to hang.
I usually put a few holes in my walls to get something to
hang level, but even I can get it right hanging one of thes.!
Blessings,
Angie

Very cool idea. Love thinking out of the box.
I love this idea!!! Now I’ll have to be on the lookout for old levels!!!
Very cute and yep…having a level to hang would be an easy project! We have been using our level a lot, but it is metal…not wood 🙁
Great use of this old tool.
That turned out so cute and adorable. I love it!!
Amazing project Angie! I’ve never seen one of these old levels before. And those hooks are seriously cute….I want some:) If you have any spare ones lying around that you can bear to part with, I would love you to list them in your Etsy shop for me.

LOL — I guess I didn’t even realize that these were made out of wood at one time! It looks great on your wall!

Greetings from Finland!
These are wonderful! I passed on several of these levels at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago because I was in a hurry. But, I had thought about doing something like this or making them into a display shelf. Your project is so cool, I wish I’d have snapped up those levels. They were reasonably priced, too!
love it!
This is really cute! I have always been drawn to the look of a level-so cool.
Very fun idea and it turned out great! Visiting from WIW
LOL! I guess it would be a first for me to not put a few holes in my wall too. I really like this project….levels remind of my Dad who is very handy. He completely remodeled my childhood home including building on an addition, by himself. One time, my daughter bought a level at her school winter wonderland store to give my Dad for Christmas “because he’s always working on something” Is this going in your shop?

p.s. So delighted to see this project at Show & Tell.
Love those old levels!! I’ve made shelves and crosses out of them but never a coat hook! Clever 🙂
that sure is a fun coat rack! Old levels are so neat.
