I’ll Level With You

I’ve seen quite a few wall coat racks
created from old carpenter’s levels on Etsy and Pinterest,
and have wanted to make one for a long time,
but the prices at auctions usually go
really high on them.

Last week I finally found a wooden level

that was reasonable priced,
so the project finally got the green light.

The nice thing about these is they are easy to hang.
I usually put a few holes in my walls to get something to
hang level, but even I can get it right hanging one of thes.!
You just have to make sure that bubble’s where it belongs.

Blessings,
Angie

  6. Amazing project Angie! I’ve never seen one of these old levels before. And those hooks are seriously cute….I want some:) If you have any spare ones lying around that you can bear to part with, I would love you to list them in your Etsy shop for me.

  9. These are wonderful! I passed on several of these levels at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago because I was in a hurry. But, I had thought about doing something like this or making them into a display shelf. Your project is so cool, I wish I’d have snapped up those levels. They were reasonably priced, too!

  10. love it!

  11. This is really cute! I have always been drawn to the look of a level-so cool.

  13. LOL! I guess it would be a first for me to not put a few holes in my wall too. I really like this project….levels remind of my Dad who is very handy. He completely remodeled my childhood home including building on an addition, by himself. One time, my daughter bought a level at her school winter wonderland store to give my Dad for Christmas “because he’s always working on something” Is this going in your shop?
