Here’s a few little pretties I brought home this week.
These things are all aged white, and made for
lovely photos against other textures and shades of white.
This little doorknob pocket is just precious.
It would look dreamy hanging from the doorknob
of a chippy, old white door with some little sprigs
of flowers in it. I’m including the, “Twine Your Blossoms”
music page from an antique hymnal with it,
because they just seem to go together.
Such a sweet crochet lace strap.
Cherubs generally aren’t my thing, but I do like this one.
My cousins and aunt came to visit and
wanted to attend an auction with me.
None of them bought anything, but I don’t think
I’ve ever left an auction empty-handed.
I picked up 2 gorgeous antique crocheted pin cushions.
It will be bittersweet when they sell, because
I really love them. I’ve been trying to strengthen
my resolve about not keeping things I buy,
because I’ve been really bad about that lately.
I’ll enjoy them while I have them though.
This one is quite dense, so my aunt thought
it’s probably filled with sawdust.
This one has a soft filling and would make
such a sweet ring bearer’s pillow for a vintage style wedding.
I love the little lace edging on them both.
All of these pieces are available in the Knick of Time shop.
What pretty little things have you brought home recently?
Blessings,
Angie

Hmmm…strengthening your resolve,huh?
I should probably try and strengthen mine as well.
Wait a minute… I’ve got not resolve. I want to keep it all!
That is why I’ve not opened up a store yet.
I don’t know what to keep and what to get rid of…I wouldn’t be able to do it.
love all your goodies…

I love crochet and your little cushion looks so beautiful! Liz
Something must be wrong with me. I hardly keep anything I buy for resell. Sometimes though when things have sat too long in my opinion, I take a second look at it and decide to keep it. You are right….how sweet would those pieces be used as a ring bearer’s pillow. So charming HWW xo
I’ve never been to an auction, but would really like to go sometime. I don’t think I could leave empty handed either. You brought home some nice treasures. I can just imagine that it is hard to let them go. In the meantime, I appreciate you sharing them with us Show & Tell.
