I love getting my hands on vintage frames
that no longer hold photos or artwork.
They may be empty, but they hold so much promising potential.
With new artwork inside or converted into chalkboards,
they take on a whole new look, but

often they are a work of art all by themselves,
and look beautiful left empty – by themselves or in a grouping.

Sometimes I paint them,
sometimes they don’t need an ounce of help from me.
Here are a few I’ve had the pleasure of selling in my shop the last few years.
This antique frame was one of my favorites.
This was an ornate, little Italian frame.
This is a pair that looked lovely after painting them pale blue.
This was a simple frame, but the corners were ornate.
Some of these old antique frames had such incredible details.
I really miss the old stump at our old house.
It was the perfect place to photograph frames.
I may have to go search for another old stump and “plant” it!
I’m having a great time visiting my family and enjoying my old home state.

Isn’ it amazing how creative one can be with an old frame? You’ve certainly repurposed them in special ways. Your photos are wonderful….frames to be framed! I especially like the Italian frame with the vintage photo, clock and spool…lovely!
