These two images both were part of a full-page ad
on the back cover of a 1912 Etude Magazine.
The ads are for Colgate Dental Cream.
Isn’t this illustration of a young woman with a gleaming smile lovely?
I think this part would be a cute addition to something for a restroom,
or medicine cabinet. I’ve never had a problem with my toothpaste
“rolling” off the brush, but apparently they did in the early 1900’s
so this dental cream came out of the tube in a flat “ribbon”.
I wish I could have posted the ad in its entirety, but it
was too large to fit on my scanner, so I had to scan it in parts.
Check out the rest of the images I’ve posted in previous weeks
by clicking on the tab “Antique Graphics to Print”, located under my header.
Blessings,
Angie
