I hosted a giveaway for my blogger friend, Shelly @ Shizzle Design, who is a retailer
for CeCe Caldwell paint. Everybody and their mother
wanted to try that paint and entered the giveaway.
The problem with hosting giveaways, is you can’t
enter yourself, so I was a little envious of the winner.
Shelly must have been reading my thoughts because
she recently asked me if I’d like to try some to and let
me select some colors to play with!
I selected neutral colors to fit in with my home,
but I think I’m going to need to get some of the other
colors to add some “pop”. I picked Johnston Daffodil, Pittsburgh Gray,
Vermont Slate, Young Kansas Wheat and Smoky Mountain.
Not only did she send me those 5 colors to sample,
but she also included Ce Ce Caldwell’s wax and a brush.
As if that wasn’t enough,
that clock you see was a gift Shelly included in the package!
Does she know what I love or what?
This old beauty will join the other members of my clock family
on top of my piano.
I couldn’t wait to start playing with this paint, so I stayed up into the
wee hours of the morning to try a little project with it.
I didn’t have any furniture to paint, so I just grabbed an old board
that was left over from our bathroom remodel and
decided to make a sign.
I used Smoky Mountain as the base color
and painted the letters with Johnston Daffodil.
I added a coat of wax, let it dry overnight, then buffed it
You will definitely been seeing some more projects
from me with this paint, because I am in love with it!
I honestly love everything about it – the colors, the coverage,
the texture…everything! And it dries so quickly compared
to other paints, so impatient people like me get instant gratification.
I was not paid to write this review. Shelly is just a great gal
and it was so sweet of her to let me try the products for myself.
This is seriously my new favorite paint and
I KNOW you will love it to.
If you haven’t seen the amazing furniture transformations
she creates with CeCe Caldwell’s paint, here’s just a
glimpse, but be sure to visit her to see more.
If you’d like to order, just click on the photo of the paint
in my sidebar to be taken directly to Shelly’s shop page,
or click HERE.
Thank you so much, Shelly!
Blessings,
Angie

!!!WOW!!!! If that’s how an “old board” turns out, I can’t wait to hop over to Shelly’s page to see what magic CeCe can perform on furniture!
I lovelovelove:P the two colors together, too.: )
Beautiful job, Angie!!

I think I need one of those signs but maybe with eggs for the word. Nice job and lovely colours! ~ Maureen
so sorry I missed your giveaway! I absolutely love your blue sign though, the colors seem great!
I love that color, too! And the furniture pieces look amazing. Off to check it out!
Hi Angie, Your sign is wonderful!!! I love it.
Hugs, cindy
Love the sign you created Angie. I really need to try this paint.
Your sign looks great, Angie. Glad you got to work with the paint. Love the colors.
I’m gonna stop over and see the stuff she transforms, since half my house seems to have been painted with Caldwell’s Hershey brown and I’m out!
~Bliss~
Ok – head over there and bought samples of CC paint and wax because of your non-pd honest review.
These colors would work well for a seaside sign for my home! I need to learn to paint! lol
Do you know how far the paint goes? Is it a chalk paint? And what color wax did you use? Thanks.

Love the colors and the way your sign turned out.
I love the board and the tone of blue. Is it comparable to Annie Sloan’s chalk paint?

You’re right, the colors are perfect together. I love that you just sat down and did it. I’ve been staring at wood pieces all week wanting to make some signs, but I’m just not sure what I want to do. Wish I had a “just do it” attitude. If you have any to spare, feel free to send it my way!

Thanx Angie! You made my night! How cool of you to write such an awesome post. Hey, I want that clock back now ~ it looks really good in your photos ~ lol! You definitely would have heard from me earlier, but my best friend lost her mom on Saturday so everything came to a halt. I’m only now beginning to go through the thousands of emails and questions I have to do. Thanks so much for sharing ~ I LOVE your sign!!! I’ve gotta get faster at doing signs; I think I make them WAY too complicated. Glad you love the paint ~ I do too; it’s literally changed my life. Take care, Shelly
Your sign is adorable…I am on my way to ck out her paint.
