I am SOOO not a morning person.
Don’t get me wrong, I love mornings.
I love the fresh air, the dew on the grass,
and early morning sun is so gorgeous.
The only thing I don’t like about morning,
is how early it comes.
I’m at my most productive self in the middle
of the night. Every good idea I’ve ever had
came in the middle of the night.
That becomes a problem when you need to get up
early and you stayed up really late the night before,
(or early in the same morning, as the case may be).
Today is a prime example.
It is now 2:05 am.
I have to wake up at 6am to get ready to take my
son to work at a fundraiser breakfast.
I’ll be paying for blogging at this hour for the rest of the day.
Anyway, I’ve been working on several signs recently,
and this is one I haven’t shown you yet.
I was inspired by this cute silhouette I shared with you HERE.
I also have a love/hate relationship with roosters.
I love how they look.
I even love to hear them crow.
I just don’t like it when they crow right outside
my bedroom window when I haven’t gotten at least 7 hours
of sleep – which is why we no longer own roosters.
The other reason is that a rooster attacked
me as a child when I was sitting in our yard
playing the harmonica. Apparently he wasn’t
impressed with my musical skills.
I’ve gotten over my childhood rooster-attacking trauma
though, and still like roosters…or at the very least,
I like images of roosters.
If you like roosters and appreciate early mornings,
this sign will be listed in my shop later today,
if I’m still functional after the fundraiser breakfast.
It is now 2:22 am,
and I will get less than 4 hours of sleep,
if I fell asleep this very minute.
I may rise at 6am, but I doubt I’ll be doing much shining.
I’ll shine later…after I’ve gotten a
nice, long nap.
Blessings,
Angie
You and I are alike–I stay up all night even if I have to get up early. Coffee, Iced tea and naps get me through the day. Cute roosters!
One thing I don’t feel alone about since blogging….. creating in my sleep. A lot of creative minds must work that way since I hear it now often. As far as roosters, ours doesn’t know when to crow. Sometimes it’s as early as 4 am., other times 7. I’m not much fond of it while laying in bed either and I’m gonna remember never to play the harmonica outside just in case.

I sleep like a log and I’m still not shiney in the am. I hear you on the roosters. My daughter’s neighbors have one and there seems to be something wrong with it. It crows all. Day. Long.
Have a nice nap today. :@
lol….as a newbie chicken owner I can agree that not only do roosters crow at sun up, they crow at lunch time, dinner time, sun set, new moons, old moons, half moons, and on and on. BUT my rooster Red (who is the only rooster left from the 3 we started with…apparently the foxes don’t like the crowing either) is fairly tame, and will even let me pet him. with all that being said….love the new sign!

Oh Angie – I can so relate. I am such a night owl. My husband is a morning person. We laugh about how sometimes we meet each other in the hall – I’m going to bed and he’s getting up. LOL I can get so much done after about ten at night. That’s my prime time – from ten till two.
Glad to know I’m not the only person like that.

Oh, Angie, you are so adorable! “I love morning,” except for “how early it comes.” hehehe
Your sign is adorable… distressed to perfection.: ) I love the two blues your used.
I hope you can sleep in tomorrow!
xoxo
Angie, I’m a morning person. If I don’t hit the floor running in the morning I don’t think I get as much done. That said, there are days when I’ll work and work and can’t go to bed cause my brain is going 100 miles an hour. That’s when I get my brilliant ideas/solutions. Love the rooster. I plan to use him myself one day!
I love your sweet sign. I can sometimes hear the roosters crowing in the morning from the homes about a block from here. I really am a morning person so it doesn’t bother me at all.
Love your sign Angie … I have a print-out of that silhouette right here on my desk with plans to make a sign with him. May be too small, but I am looking. Gotta get finished with my entry hall before I start anything else.
Have a great week my friend.
Thanks for all the shout-outs on the magazines I sent. You are doing great to scan and edit all those pictures and offer the up for free. So kind of you.
Hugs,
Audrey Z .
I am so totally with you on the early morning thing….a beautiful time of the day but I just wish it came later. Sorry, I had to laugh about you being attacked by a rooster as a child but I can relate as I had a goose chase me around trying to nip my backside. And I wasn’t playing an instrument! I think he just didn’t like me being in his yard :/
