Today I’ve got 2 of the sweetest antique images to share with you. Both came from an undated German book, that appears to be from the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. These would make beautiful framed prints. By the way, while you can certainly print any of my images from your home printer, I have been really impressed with images I’ve had printed at Staples on their Color Expressions paper. It’s thicker than regular paper and has a really pretty finished look that regular paper doesn’t have, but it isn’t as glossy as photo paper.
I believe the translation of the title of the book is, “A Savior is Born” and most of the illustrations inside the book were Christmas-related, although the two I’m sharing today aren’t. Here’s the image of the cover.
Click on the images to view full size.
I didn’t crop this page at all, because when you print it, you’ll have a little “margin” to frame the print, if desired.
This image is adorable as well, with a young child dropping bread crumbs for a bird outside her window, while her mother keeps a protective arm in front of her.
Here’s just the image, without the text.
By the way, I want to send out a special “Thank You” to Cindy @ Old Time Farmhouse.
Cindy invited me to share my home for her March “Farm Fresh Feature“. Long before I knew Cindy had a blog, I was a big fan of her Etsy shop, “Old Time Pickers“. We have very similar taste in home decor as well as old treasures we like to carry in our shops. If you don’t already follow Old Time Farmhouse, make sure you drop in and visit – you’ll LOVE her style, I promise!!
Cindy also hosts the “Country Whites Weekend” party that I love to participate in, so be sure to follow her and go share your pretty whites each weekend.

As I mentioned last week, each Wednesday, I’ll feature 2 items from my shop, specifically discounted 20% off for you! If you are interested in either of today’s specials, send me an email at jasmasix {at} msn.com – they go to the first to respond (include your zip code, so I can determine correct shipping).

Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!
Love those prints! Have you ever heard of the Journal Ladies? I found them at a flea market last year. They take old books, rebind and add pages for writing. Makes those unique books last just a wee bit longer
Angie, these are the dearest and sweetest prints ever!! Thank you!

That book is just beautiful! I have an old New Testament book that has a similar cover and illustrations….I think the era produced a particular style that is so lovely. Those were the days when illustrators made real art renderings not computer graphics. They are so special because of that I think. I am going over to check out your house profile. I don’t follow that blog so I am looking forward to seeing it!
So beautiful and congrats with sharing your home at Old Time Farmhouse. I will follow so I don’t mis the feature!;)
