Antique Graphics Wednesday – {Rulers and Tape Measures}

Do you love old rulers and tape measures?  I do!  I’ve been stockpiling yardsticks and have a bunch of them, but still haven’t decided what I’m going to do with them.  I’ve hung a few in my house that are favorites, but I really need to come up with a project to use them.
I’ve been trying to learn more about digital “crafting”, so I thought these old rulers and tape measures would be fun to use in some digital projects.  They could also be used as graphic elements for blog “decor”.  The top 2 images are portions of 2 of my wooden yardsticks and the bottom 2 are some cloth tape measures I have.
 Here they are grouped together as one image.  Just click on the image to enlarge, save, and print.
Here they are individually – click on each image to enlarge and save.
Let me know if you come up with a creative, fun use for these images – I’d love to see it!
Blessings,

  1. Angie, My daughter made some really cute chalk board frames from old rulers for her kids she teaches and it helped them learn how to use one also.

    She even washed some with food coloring watered down so they would know which one was theirs.

    Just an idea 🙂
