I’ve learned to harden my heart toward the things I bring home to sell in my shop, but some things test my resolve. Everything I’m showing you today falls in that category!
I told you that I went to a vintage market with my cousins last weekend. I don’t usually go to many of these type of markets, because the prices are usually to high for a reseller to find much that allows for a profit margin. It means I have to really look carefully to find things that are both unique and still make a profit on them, but I did manage to find a fair amount.
I’m not even a big fan of the color pink – other than on flowers, but pink that has reached this level of chippy perfection, combined with lovely old wood and this metal keyhole is enough to make a pink lover out of me.
It’s a front piece from an antique dresser drawer.
It has a beautiful curved shape. It was missing one knob, so I replace both of them with vintage glass knobs. Available in the shop HERE.
This gorgeous frame appears to have originally been a mirror, but nearly all of the reflective silvering is now gone from the beveled glass.
The beautiful wooden top piece is what grabbed me eye. If it doesn’t sell, you can bet I’ll be happy to keep it!
Here’s some of the remnants of the mirror silvering. Available in the shop HERE.
I actually found these gorgeously aged porcelain plates in a consignment shop on the way to my cousin’s house. Available in the shop HERE.
I absolutely love finding pieces that have crackled glaze.
I was tempted to turn them into another wall display, like this one that I showed you last year, which I will do if they don’t sell.
At the same store, I also found 2 beautiful platters and several bowls.
I also brought home this wire fryer basket. I’ve never found a square one before. I think this would be perfect to use to hold office supplies on a desk. Available in the shop HERE.
Those are a few of my favorite finds from the weekend. I still have more, but haven’t had a chance to photograph everything yet.
Blessings,
Angie

Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!

I have a white platter so similar to your new one…and it is a favorite of mine!!
Love all your finds Angie. Glad you had a good time and found some affordable stuff. Love the fryer basket and the white dishes.

Lots of beautiful eye candy, Angie! I love the look of those crazed dishes, too…
Love all your finds! I would have trouble listing them too!
Thanks for blogging. I love reading it and taking in all your ‘eye candy.’ 🙂
I would have bought everything! Love the chippy paint on the drawer front and the crackling on those pretty plates. Score!!!
What wonderful treasures!!
I need to follow you around so that I can find some beauties for my own!!!
😀
After that first sentence I can’t get that song out of my head (Harden My Heart). Some really great finds you have there!
I just never thought of buying a plate ‘because’ of the cracked glaze. I think it is a great idea for the project I have in mind. I won’t be using them for food, so it will be safe and add a bit of flair as well. Thanks for the idea.
*Smiles*
Angie, your finds and creations are always such a pleasure to see…thanks for sharing!
