I never cease to be amazed at the difference fresh paint can make. I finished the caned wooden corner shelf stand I showed you last week.
The stand was in great condition, but the finish on the wood was wearing out and it just looked tired.
I didn’t do anything fancy – just painted it white with chalk style paint (I used Blue Minerals powder to make my homemade paint), then distressed it a little here and there.
I think it whispers “quaint cottage“, instead of screaming “Outdated” now. Paint, sandpaper and wax…three little miracle cures. Have you given anything old some paint “medicine” recently?
Blessings,
Angie

So cute! Isn’t it fun to find something so sad and make it so sweet.
You made that old, ugly shelf stand look GREAT!
Great job Angie … you know just how to make things look fresh and beautiful.
