I want to thank you all for the prayers, heartfelt well-wishes and monetary gifts sent for my cousin who lost her home in the tornado. It was heartbreaking hearing her account of those moments she endured while it happened, and so sad watching her go through the rubble left of her home, looking for anything that survived.
God was with them during the storm, and I have no doubt he’ll be with them as they go forward in rebuilding. Her sister pointed out to her that if she can survive an F-4 tornado (without a scratch on her), she can do anything!
I’m not sure why, but I’ve had Chris Rice’s song, “Go Light Your World” going through my head a lot lately. I had a leaf from an antique table, painted and waiting for me to turn into a sign. It sat for awhile, and I couldn’t decide what to put on it, but when that song kept going through my head, I decided it had a message worth putting on a sign.
If you’ve never heard the song…believe me, it’s worth the listen. (listen here)
I distressed it, waxed it, and attached a candle holder from a wall sconce on one side. I think the candle holder really adds a great visual to the message on the sign. It’s available in my shop HERE.
Blessings,
Angie

God bless your cousin as she picks up the pieces of her life and moves forward. You are so talented, Angie! xo Diana
That is such a big tornado…must have been so awful. I am so glad they were not injured. Your project is beautiful, Angie…xo
Lovely, Angie! Both the project and the sentiments 🙂
Just beautiful. So happy for your family they were not injured. So sorry they have had to endure such a terrible trial. I cannot begin to imagine how horrifying this must have been. Definitely will listen to the song too. Just lovely.
Would like to make a sign similar to your “Hold your Candle “. Just wondering if the lettering is a stencil or did you do it freehand? With your permission! Absolutely love it!
